We couldn't get away with what Congress just passed. Good intentions or not, you have to read what you represent.
I imagine my license would be in jeopardy, if I intentionally did not read the contract, while representing my clients. Try explaining that to your E&O.
Congress just got away with it. $800 billion and how many read the bill? Maybe they hire readers. Hey, that sounds like a new J.O.B. opportunity. I should submit an application. Because , I read all my contracts...with fervor.
I have no political ax to grind. I'm just a serf hoping the guys and gals who represent me are doing their job.
My clients need reinforcement that I am their advocate. I understand that. That's my J.O.B. Their sale or purchase is probably their largest transaction. It can be emotional and sometimes stressful. Good agents know this, and understand the nature of our business.
My point: The details of any contract (or Congressional bill) is paramont to its' effectiveness. My clients EXPECT I don't hire readers.
